 Tequila and Salt
Read all the way to the end!!!
This should probably be taped to your bathroom mirror where one could read it every day.
You may not realize it, but it's 100% true.
1. There are at least two people in this world that you would die for.
2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.
3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.
4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.
5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.
6. You mean the world to someone.
7. You are special and unique.
8. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.
9. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
10. When you think the world has turned its back on you take another look.
11. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.

And always remember....when life hands you Lemons, ask for tequila and salt and call me over!!

 Can of Worms
CAN OF WORMS

A minister decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday sermon.Four worms were placed into four separate jars.The first worm was put into a container of alcohol.The second worm was put into a container of cigarette smoke.The third worm was put into a container of chocolate syrup.The fourth worm was put into a container of good clean soil.At the conclusion of the sermon, the Minister reported the following results:The first worm in alcohol - Dead.The second worm in cigarette smoke - Dead.Third worm in chocolate syrup - Dead.Fourth worm in good clean soil - Alive.So the Minister asked the congregation - What can you learn from this demonstration? A little old woman in the back quickly raised her hand and said, "As long as you drink, smoke and eat chocolate, you won't have worms!

"Don't you just love little old ladies????

 Bounce

A friend of mine sent me the following email. I don't know if it has any truth to it or not. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this wise tale:

Bounce My mail carrier told me that the Postal service sent out a message to all letter carriers to put a sheet of Bounce in their uniform pockets to keep yellow-jackets away. Use them all the time when playing baseball and soccer. I use it when I am working outside. It really works. The yellow jackets just veer around you.

1. All this time you've just been putting Bounce in the dryer! It will chase ants away when you lay a sheet near them. It also repels mice.
2. Spread sheets around foundation areas, or in trailers, or cars that are sitting and it keeps mice from entering your vehicle.
3. It takes the odor out of books and photo albums that don't get opened too often.
4. It repels mosquitoes. Tie a sheet of Bounce through a belt loop when outdoors during mosquito season.
5. Eliminate static electricity from your television (or computer) screen.
6. Since Bounce is designed to help eliminate static cling, wipe your television screen with a used sheet of Bounce to keep dust from resettling.
7. Dissolve soap scum from shower doors. Clean with a sheet of Bounce.
8. To freshen the air in your home - Place an individual sheet of Bounce in a drawer or hang in the closet.
9. Put Bounce sheet in vacuum cleaner.
10. Prevent thread from tangling. Run a threaded needle through a sheet of Bounce before beginning to sew.
11. Prevent musty suitcases. Place an individual sheet of Bounce inside empty luggage before storing.
12. To freshen the air in your car - Place a sheet of Bounce under the front seat.
13. Clean baked-on foods from a cooking pan. Put a sheet in a pan, fill with water, let sit overnight, and sponge clean. The anti-static agent apparently weakens the bond between the food and the pan.
14. Eliminate odors in wastebaskets. Place a sheet of Bounce at the bottom of the wastebasket.
15. Collect cat hair. Rubbing the area with a sheet of Bounce will magnetically attract all the loose hairs.
16. Eliminate static electricity from Venetian blinds. Wipe the blinds with a sheet of Bounce to prevent dust from resettling.
17. Wipe up sawdust from drilling or sand papering. A used sheet of Bounce will collect sawdust like a tack cloth.
18. Eliminate odors in dirty laundry. Place an individual sheet of Bounce at the bottom of a laundry bag or hamper.
19. Deodorize shoes or sneakers. Place a sheet of Bounce in your shoes or sneakers overnight.
20. Golfers put a Bounce sheet in their back pocket to keep the bees away.
21. Put a Bounce sheet in your sleeping bag and tent before folding and storing them. It will keep them smelling fresh.

 Administrative Assistant Day
In honor of all the great Administrative Assistants in blog land I would like you to know that you are a wonderful asset to any company. There shouldn't be only one Hallmark/FTD Florist Day set aside to honor you. You deserve to be appreciated every day. Here is some history on this appreciative day:
Administrative Professionals Week ― Always observed annually during the last FULL week in April, standard Sunday through Saturday calendar week - April 23-29, 2006
Administrative Professionals Day ― Observed annually the Wednesday of Administrative Professionals Week - April 26, 2006

Event History and Objectives:

This annual event was originally organized in 1952 as "National Secretaries Week" by the National Secretaries Association (now known as the International Association of Administrative Professionals) in conjunction with public relations executive Harry Klemfuss and a consortium of office product manufacturers. It was established as an effort to recognize secretaries for their contributions in the workplace, and to attract people to secretarial/administrative careers. In the year 2000, IAAP announced a name change for Professional Secretaries Week and Professional Secretaries Day. The names were changed to Administrative Professionals Week and Administrative Professionals Day to keep pace with changing job titles and expanding responsibilities of today’s administrative workforce.

Over the years, Administrative Professionals Week has become one of the largest workplace observances. The event is celebrated worldwide, bringing together millions of people for community events, educational seminars, and individual corporate activities recognizing support staff with gifts of appreciation.

Make sure you wish your Admin a very special day. If you are admin, please let today be your day!

 Would You Remarry?

I have a controversial question for today. If something were to happen to your spouse for example they got sick and passed away, would you remarry? From experience with my parents, my dad passed away at 42 years young. My mom was only 40. I didn't want to see my mom go through the rest of her life alone. Luckily she met a wonderful man her same age who was also a widow. They have been married 14 years now. Back before my dad ever passes my mom use to tease that if she passed first, he better not remarry or have another women in her house. So, what are your thoughts? Would you consider re-marrying? Have you ever thought about this? How would you feel if your S.O. remarried? Here is something cute I received on this subject:

A husband and wife are sitting quietly in bed reading when thewife looks over at him and asks a bold question.

WIFE: "What would you do if I died? Would you get married again?"
HUSBAND: "Definitely not!"
WIFE: "Why not - don't you like being married?"
HUSBAND: "Of course I do."
WIFE: "Then why wouldn't you remarry?"
HUSBAND: "Okay, I'd get married again."
WIFE: "You would?" (with a hurtful look on her face).
HUSBAND: (makes audible groan).
WIFE: "Would you live in our house?"
HUSBAND: "Sure, it's a great house."
WIFE: "Would you sleep with her in our bed?"
HUSBAND: "Where else would we sleep?"
WIFE: "Would you let her drive my car?"
HUSBAND: "Probably, it is almost new."
WIFE: "Would you replace my pictures with hers?"
HUSBAND: "That would seem like the proper thing to do."
WIFE: "Would she use my golf clubs?"
HUSBAND: "No, she's left-handed."
WIFE: -- silence --
HUSBAND: "Crap."

 Is Blogger Smokin' Crack?
I have tried and tried to post comments and do a post this morning and blogger won't let me. Is it smokin' crack or what? Since I finally got through and all my creative juices are gone this is the post you get. LOL! Not much going on. Just a busy Monday. My allergies/sinuses are better, but still not good. Yesterday I got up and cleaned out the flower garden, while S.O. mowed, weed eat, trim trees, shrubs and etc. Then I cleaned out every cabinet and closet at my house. We made (2) trips to my mom's for stuff for her g-sale this weekend. I still have (1) more trip to make. Uck! Hopefully my junk will be someone else's treasures. If not I will either drop it off at Goodwill or put it in her shed till about a month before we move and we will recycle it to my house for one last g-sale and then what is left will be donated. If I have a g-sale at my house later it is different customers and by then I'll be ready to sell my living room furniture I have now for my new stuff for the new house. Yeah! We seen on Saturday that there is a SOLD sign in front of our lot. That made me feel good. I have to write a letter this week to put in with our rent check to my landlord that we will be moving. Yuck! Anyway, I got alot accomplished this weekend and ready for next to relax, but I don't get to relax cuz I have to help mom with the g-sale. Yuck! How was your weekend?

 Treasure Hunt
Well I met my mom and her friend about 6:30 a.m. this morning. We hit the huge community wide g-sale at Chandler's in Rockwall. I found a cute Kenneth Cole purse brand new for $4. 00. Then I found a guy that owns Sunglass Huts and had a whole table of brand new sunglasses. I got the cutest Ralph Lauren pair for $20.00. After we left I went to the mall and seen the same sunglasses for $110.00. Is that a steal or what? I had to go to the mall for the S.O. He is working today and Sear's had some of the Craftsman tools on sale from 9-12 only for 50% off. So I went and got him some goodies. Since then I'm been at home cleaning out closets and such for a g-sale at my mom's next weekend. This has been the fun of the day. So, what have you been up to?

 Friday
Woo-hoo! It is Friday. It couldn't have came enough. Everyone is out of my office today, except my boss. Yuck! I'm stuck with him all day. That prolly means lunch too. I came down with an allergy/sinus infection yesterday. Prolly from our crazy weather in Texas. I am doing better today, I think cuz my throat doesn't hurt so bad. Now I'm hoarse though. Maybe it will be an excuse not to have to talk to my boss, hun? LOL! I figure if I'm going to be miserable I might as well be miserable at work, hun? Well I got the final word yesterday that everything is a go ahead and approved on our house to be built. Yeah! I have to sign one statement at closing that I have never applied for credit under some alias that is showing up on my credit report. It scared me that someone had tried to fraud on my report, but it appears to just be a type-o. I don't know why anyone would want to steal my identity anyway. So we are so excited about the house being built. Yeah! I started H/O's insurance quotes today. Yes, I'm ahead of the game. Now, I have to write a letter to the landlord to go with the rent check that we are moving. I dread that since we are breaking our lease a little early. Can't wait to see how much it cost us or if he will just apply our deposit towards it. Anyway, no big plans for the weekend. Max is working on Saturday and I'm getting up early to go to a huge community wide garage sale at Chandler's Landing in Rockwall. It is an annual event and you can find lots of good treasures from the rich. LOL! Then I'll prolly go home and clean, and grocery shop before Max gets home. What an exciting weekend, hun? LOL! So, do you have any exciting plans? Well, hope everyone has a great day!

 Martha Vs. Maxine (Hump Day)
*Martha's Way*
Stuff a miniature marshmallow in the bottom of a sugar cone to prevent ice cream drips.
*Maxine's Way *
Just suck the ice cream out of the bottom of the cone, for Pete's sake! You are probably lying on the couch with your feet up eating it, anyway!

*Martha's Way*
To keep potatoes from budding, place an apple in the bag with the potatoes.

*Maxine's Way *
Buy Hungry Jack mashed potato mix, keep it in the pantry for up to a year.

*Martha's Way*
When a cake recipe calls for flouring the baking pan, use a bit of the dry cake mix instead and there won't be any white mess on the outside of the cake.

*Maxine's Way *
Go to the bakery! They'll even decorate it for you.

*Martha's Way*
If you accidentally oversalt a dish while it's still cooking, drop in a peeled potato and it will absorb the excess salt for an instant "fix-me-up."

*Maxine's Way *
If you oversalt a dish while you are cooking, that's too bad Please recite with me the real woman's motto: "I made it and you will eat it and I don't care how bad it tastes!"
*Martha's Way*
Wrap celery in aluminum foil when putting in the refrigerator and it will keep for weeks.
Celery?

*Maxine's Way *
Never heard of it!
*Martha's Way*
Brush some beaten egg white over pie crust before baking to yield a beautiful glossy finish.

*Maxine's Way *
The Mrs. Smith frozen pie directions do not include brushing egg whites over the crust so I don't.

*Martha's Way*
Cure for headaches: take a lime, cut it in half and rub it on your forehead. The throbbing will go away.

*Maxine's Way *
Take a lime, mix it with tequila, chill and drink!

*Martha's Way*
If you have a problem opening jars, try using latex dishwashing gloves. They give a non-slip grip that makes opening jars easy.

*Maxine's Way *
Go ask that very cute neighbor if he can open it for you.

*Martha's Way*
Don't throw out all that leftover wine. Freeze into ice cubes for future use in casseroles and sauces.

*Maxine's Way *
Leftover wine???????????
HELLO !!!!!!!

The trouble with bucket seats is that not everybody has the same size bucket.
Do you realize that in about 40 years, we'll have thousands of old ladies running around with tattoos?
Money can't buy happiness -- but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than in a Hyundai.
Drinking makes some husbands see double and feel single.
Living in a nudist colony takes all the fun out of Halloween.
After a certain age, if you don't wake up aching in every joint, you are probably dead.

I thought I would start you off on Hump Day with some Martha vs. Maxine. You can never go wrong with Maxine, right? LOL! Only 2 more work days left this week. Yeah! So, did you hear congrats was in order for Tom Kat? Yes they had a baby girl, I think. Also, what do you make of Angelina and Brad delivering their baby in Africa? Is this healthy? Just want to know your thoughts on these celebrities. Hope everyone has a great Hump Day!

 Tuesday Rambles
I found out what the story with my niece was yesterday. (If you don't know what I'm talking about go down 2 post to WEIRD). Some kid went up to the office lady and told them her aunt wanted to go on the field trip. Well the lady thought the kids name was my niece's name because she had the two girls confused with one another. So that is how the whole mess started. I'm free and don't have to go on the field trip. Yeah!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It got over 100 degrees yesterday here in Texas. The power company wasn't expecting the temperature to get so hot and they weren't prepared. They had to shut down power here and there for 15 minutes at a time to store up power. So we had rolling black outs all over town. Luckily, my power didn't go off at my house, but I'm not sure about at work.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I must be hormonal today. I am mad at the world for no reason. I have really ripped the guys a new one over paperwork. If I don't quit mouthing I could get fired today. LOL!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh, you seen above that it got over 100 degrees yesterday. Well, guess what? My tight wad boss wouldn't turn on the a/c. Luckily I have a ceiling fan in my office, but some don't. And people wonder why I have anger issues at work.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Will Friday ever get here?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That's all I got for now, but there will be more moaning and groaning later. How do you like that?
 Weird
Well, it is Monday and it is so dragging. I hate that. Anyway, I get an email from my ex-sil this morning that just reads, I need your fax #. I replied making sure she needed mine, cuz I thought maybe she clicked the wrong name in her address book. She replied back saying, yes you. She said my youngest niece's school needed to fax something to me. I replied again, asking why me. She replied back saying it was a permission slip for a field trip. At this point I'm really confused. So I asked why they would be faxing it to me, I'm not the guardian. She said someone from the school called and told her that they had to have a slip signed from the people participating and my niece told them I was goind with her. My ex sil assumed my niece had spoken to me about this, but I know nothing. My ex sil is calling the school back to get more information. I feel bad. I'm assuming my niece wanted me to go with her. I don't even know when it is or where. I doubt I could get off work. My ex sil is still getting more details for me. Is this weird or what? I am thinking my niece just had wishful thinking that I was going. That makes me feel bad. She and her sister are both my pride and joy!
 Easter Sunday
Easter was wonderful! I got up early and started cooking. Left and we headed to my mom's to help her finish getting things together. We had a feast. After lunch, mom had me to hide plastic eggs and she wrote numbers on them. We didn't have any small childern there. They ranged from 9-16. So, to do something fun for them she let the hunt the eggs, then depending on what number they had she gave them a prize. The boys got caps and cologne and such and the girls got bubble bath and parfume and such. It was a cute idea. We all just sit around and visited and ate and ate. Pretty typical for my family. It is all about eating. LOL! We like our groceries. On the way home Max's sister Kacie called and had free tickets to the Mavs game. You can't beat that, now can you? So her and her B.F. came by and we all went. The Mavs played Utah and won. It was a lot of fun. I really like hanging with her. She is like the sister I never had. Here are some pics that I took:
Anyway, if the pics are a little dark, try to click on them. We ended up sitting in section 102 row R. It was lower balcony and pretty good seats. Guess what style is back for guys again? Princess Fashion Enforcer is going to have fun with this. Guys are wearing their collars up. Do you remember that style many moons ago? This so marks me age. I know. Also, if you never have been to a Mavs game there is only one song to sum it up. Here it is, CLICK HERE. (<-- It will take it a minute to start playing the correct song). You may ask yourself why. Well there is so many "plastic" chics around that place. It is more fun to people watch than watch the game. LOL! Monday morning is going to suck though. I have to be at work an extra hour early for a meeting every Monday. Then it is pedal to the metal to get work done, so don't expect to see me on blogger till later in the morning. It is 11:05 Central now and I'm still up. This means I'm going to be tired Monday morning. Oh well, I can sleep Monday night, right? LOL! Hope everyone had a great Easter!
 Saturday Night
Well we just got in from shopping. Have you been to
IKEA? I am loving it. I am hooked and addicted. Yes, I was a virgin to this place until today. It rocks! Almost as much at Em, but not quite. Anyway, it has really contemporary type stuff and so much space savings ideas. This would be perfect for a dorm, a small apartment or anyone on a low budget. We didn't buy much. Got some prints, frames, what nots decor thing to sit around and I got the cutest toy box. You ask, "Why a toy box when you don't have kids?". Well, it is for my dog's toys. It is so cute. You would just have to see it to understand. So here it is, but it doesn't give it justice. Guess what I paid? $12.99. Is that cute for the price or what?
Here is the print we bought, but the way I have it sitting to snap a pic the light from the ceiling is glaring, but you still got an idea. Max picked it out. A friend of his (a bachelor) has this and all the guys have signed by a different person their name and it is actually really neat looking.
Anyway, it is close to midnight now and we are exhausted. We have to get up early tommorrow and start cooking to take for Easter lunch at mom's. So, I am about to log off. Before I do, I wanted to show you what I just seen outside when I took the dog out. Well here it is:
I hope everyone has a great Easter and hope the Easter bunny treats you well. Have a great day!
 I Got Tagged and You Could Be Next!
I've been tagged by the Emily(who was tagged by Reluctant Housewife, who was tagged by sugarmama, who was tagged by the pajama mama), and since I can never be called a poor sport, I will do as I am told. I am supposed to share 6 weird things about my self, things I do, say, whatever....then tag 6 more people to spread the general weirdness(again). I am a very weird person so coming up with just (6) things will be incredibly easy.
So, here goes.
1. I'm to extremly observate at times for my own good. I pick up on things that most people wouldn't notice. For example, I catch more people in story telling cuz they forget who they have told what to and they can't be doing the same thing at two different places at the same time and so on and so on. Then this eats at me and makes me so nosey.
2. I don't like any veggies, but pickles on hamburgers or sandwiches.
3. I like to mix squeeze butter with my salsa at Mexican restaurnats (only if they have squeeze butter like Posado's) to dip my chips in.
4. I don't like to kiss before I brush my teeth. That just totally grosses me out.
5. I don't do the drinking after people thing either.
6. I have different work morals than most people. I can't stand for someone not to be at work at least 15 min early and back from lunch early and you don't turn off your computer or shut down till time to get off and not before. I also can't stand people staying on personal calls at work all day. Yes, I'm a hardass. Of course, if you can find time for blogger and get away with it w/o being caught that is okay. Very double standard, I know.
****FTR, (there is only supose to be (6) things, but I thought I would give you one to grow on) I'm not a big fan of candy unless I'm hormonal. How weird it that?
So, I am off to tag:
Tagees:
Shannon
Amy
Cherish
Kim
Gareth
Tina
Here are the rules-
1. Reveal six weird facts/things/habits about yourself and then tag six people
2. Leave a "You're Tagged!" comment to let the people you have tagged know they have to reveal six things (or the entire blogosphere will explode and it will be their fault)
3. Leave a comment HERE to let me know when you have completed your mission
Hope everyone has a great Good Friday, a great weekend and nice Easter!
6. Never frown, even when you are sad, because you never know who is falling in love! with your smile.
7. To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.
8. Don't waste your time on a man/woman, who isn't willing to waste their time on you.
9. Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful.
10. Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened.
11. There's always going to be people that hurt you so what you have to do is keep on trusting and just be more careful about who you trust next time around.
12. Make yourself a better person and know who you are before you try and know someone else and expect them to know you.
13. Don't try so hard, the best things come when you least expect them to.
 Do You Want to Delete Housework Permanently?
How To Clean House?
1. Open a new file on your PC.
2. Name it "Housework".
3. Send it to the Recycle Bin.
4. Empty the Recyle Bin.
5. Your PC will ask you, "Are you sure you want to delete Housework permanently?"
6. Calmly answer, "Yes," and press the mouse button firmly.
7. Feel better?
Works for me!
 Hump Day
I got an email from an old friend yesterday and I can't decide if it is bad humor or good humor. Someways it is bad, but other ways it is funny. What do you think? I'm sure some of you have already seen this, but here it is anyway.
He emailed saying:
Guess who I ran into today?
(I'm thinking a blast from the past that we haven't seen in awhile. Well, here is the picture that was attached.)
 Tuesday Random Thoughts
I have another hectic week. Really trying to stay on task at work and we get to meet with the mortgage company this week. They will start building our home in June. I'm really excited.
I am going through all kinds of stuff this weekend. Out with the old and in with the new. Mom is having a garage sale the last weekend of April, so I'm going to get together things.
Saturday we may try to go to IKEA to look around for some new living room suite ideas. Then, Sunday we will go to my mom's for Easter lunch.
Is it bad that I totally live for weekends? I mean I really do. Every Monday I start the count down.
I was reading Em's blog yesterday about BlogHer and realized I had never heard of this. Have any of you? Sounds like so much fun and a great peep meet. Kim will be coming on a buisness trip to my area in November and Momma and I are going to meet up with her. I can't wait. Cezi also lives in my area, but I have never gotten to meet her or Em's for that matter. Ames is a R.L. friend like Momma so of course I have met most of them. If you were to go on a vacation would you try to meet up with a fellow blogger friend if you were going to be in their area? I would love to meet some of my blogger peeps. Jodes went to school in this area and has friends here. She may come here to visit soon. I mean, think about it. Just from blogging I have friends that I depend on living in California, Florida, Mississippi, Washington, New York, Canada, Ireland, everywhere in between and even Nowhere ville. Anyway, this thought is just about meeting bloggers, I guess.
Do you have just one truelly best friends or several close friends?
Why are so many people quitting blog or taking a break? I mean I know it is addicting, but I miss you.
Just want to end this post with saying I hope everyone has a great day.
 House
House hunting if fun at first, then it gets old real quick. We finally found one we like and the model/spec home was available. We decided to think about it. We go back (3) days later and there is a contract on it. So we are back to square one. Finally we have now decided to build one similiar to the model. It will start production in June and should be ready around September or so. Here are some pics of the model home:
