Sorry, everyone! I was tagged. This is a recipe tag exchange. Below I have given (4) recipes given to me and tagged (4) people. Kentucky Hot Brown
Ingredients
1 stick butter
3 Tablespoons flour (regular)
2 cups milk
1 cup Colby cheese (grated)
1/2 box Parmesan cheese (grated)
Chicken or turkey
Country ham or baked ham
Bacon, fried to a crisp
Tomato slices
Paprika
Tabasco hot pepper sauce (5 dashes or more to taste)
2 egg yolks
In a 4-quart, heavy saucepan, melt butter. Mix in flour until mixture is smooth. Add milk in small amounts at a time; cook until sauce is thick. Add Tabasco sauce and Parmesan cheese. Remove from heat. Take out 1/2 cup sauce and add the two beaten egg yolks. Mix well and return to the remainder, stirring constantly. Add Colby and American cheeses. Remove from heat.
Toast six slices of bread on both sides. Slice each piece in half and place on a heat-resistant plate. Layer with chicken or turkey, ham of your choice, sauce, tomato, and 2 slices of bacon. Top with paprika. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
Lemonade Cookies
1 c. butter, 1 t. soda, 1 6-oz. can of lemonade (thawed), 1 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 3 c. flour.
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add dry ingredients, alternating with
1/2 c. of lemonade concentrate. Drop 2" apart on ungreased sheet, remove from oven
and brush with remaining lemonade and sprinkle with sugar while still hot.
Crispy Topped Creamy Spinach
2 pkg. (10 oz. each) frozen chopped spinach, thawed, well drained
1 container (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Chive & Onion Light Cream Cheese Spread
1/2 cup KRAFT LIGHT DONE RIGHT! Ranch Reduced Fat Dressing
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1-1/2 cups KRAFT FREE Shredded Non-Fat Cheddar Cheese, divided
1 cup crushed RITZ Reduced Fat Crackers, divided
PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Mix spinach, cream cheese spread, dressing, eggs and 3/4 cup of the cheddar cheese in large bowl. Stir in 1/2 cup of the crushed crackers.
SPOON spinach mixture evenly into greased 2-qt. ovenproof casserole dish. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup crushed crackers and remaining 3/4 cup cheddar cheese.
BAKE 20 to 25 min. or until heated through and cheese on top is melted.
Spicy Queso
2 packages of cream cheese
1 can of rotel tomatos w/ green chilis (your desired hotness)
1/2 package of Owen's hot sausage
Put the cream cheese and rotel tomatos in a crock pot to melt. Brown sausage. Drained sausge and mix in to cream cheese and rotel tomatos. Keep stirring until cheese is melted and turn crock pot down to low. Refrigerate leftovers and warm in the microwave. Great with chips or on tortillas.
I'll have to dust off my Betty Crocker cookbook...LOL
