Well, I have something to help you out. Traffic.com will show you what the traffic is like in your area. See which roads are busy or are getting busier. That way, you can plan alternate routes.

Fridays in Atlanta bring out the worst in people.
A lot of companies give people Fridays off to "save gas," but they just go out shopping, and for some reason people are even more maniacal when they are shopping than when they are travelling work related.
